THIS GAME REALLY BROUGHT ME BACK TO CALL OF DUTY AFTER I STOP REALLY CARING FOR THE FRANCHICE AFTER CALL OF DUTY GHOST. I ALWAYS LOVED THE MODERN WARFARE SERIES WHEN I WAS A KID MW2 IS STILL MY FAVIORTE COD. THIS GAME REALLY BROUGHT BACK A LOT WHAT I LIKED ABOUT THOSE GAMES IN CAMPAGIN AND MUTIPLAYER. THE CAMPAIGN BROUGHT OLD CHARACTERS LIKE CAPTIAIN PRICE BACK AND BROUGHT A DARKER AND GRIDY STORY THAT FELT MORE REALISTIC EVEN COMPARED TO THE ORIGINAL. THE MULTIPLAYER BROUGHT A LOT OF INNOVATION TO COD NEEDED FOR A LONG TIME BUT ALSO BROUGHT SOME QUESTIONABLE CHANGES LIKE IN THE MINI MAPS AND THE MAP LAYOUT THEMSELVES. BUT OVERALL, I STILL ENJOYED EVEN WITH FLAW IN BOTH THE CAMPAIGN AND MUTIPLAYER IT MADE ME WANT TO BE COD FAN AGAIN. AFTER FEELING CALL OF DUTY WAS JUST COPYING OTHER GAMES LIKE TITANFALL AND OVERWATH AND EVEN A LITTLE BIT BATTLEFIELD WITH GHOST. BUT THIS FELT MORE FELT LIKE BACK TO FORM COD WITH INNOVATION TO PUSH FORWARD. SO, FOR ANY COD FAN LIKE MYSELF THAT LEFT THE FRANCHICE I FEEL LIKE THIS IS A GREAT START POINT TO JUMP BACK IN.

The campaign looks photo realistic at times, great action experience. Multiplayer is fun as always.

Well, its been 24 hours since launch and of course... the initial start was bogged down with "server issues". It cleared up about 4 hours later but still... after 12 iterations of multiplayer, you'd figure they'd have it down by now. The game multiplayer is decent but isn't the best. There are vehicles to ride on the larger maps. Here are some of the things that, in my opinion, bring the game down: Spawning in to fire or a kill streak, spawn camping, camping, inconsistent damage, unrealistic handling, poor team match making, foot step distances (sound depth), no voting on maps or game types, unreal bullet travel and damage (which they pitched was a huge focus), claymores, and Things improved: Campaign, co-op game mode, map designs (for the most part), graphics, load times, cross play, hit detection, damage amount while shooting in to crowds (would distribute damage and not assign previously), balancing of perks and mods, and the surrounding and environmental sounds. I'm sure they'll fix a lot, but as of now, pistols and precision rifles are a huge let down and not even usable as from previous iterations. The level designs promote camping corners and doors. Again, this is just my review on the first game during the first 24 hours. Its Call of Duty/Modern Warfare so you'll buy it either way.

there is a definite learning curve that left most of my friends behind as far as the multiplayer goes. but once you get the hang of this game its one of the best cods out there, in my opinion. campaign is great, and can't wait to see where they take it from here. it would be a 5 star if they had things more like WWII, with the HQ and how EVERY item in the game is attainable through leveling up and loot crates, rather than half of the contact being paid for cosmetics.

If you are looking for a game with: beautiful graphics, compelling campaign, and fun online multiplayer options, this is the game for you! My only beef with this game, campaign could have been longer.

This is a pretty fun game. Call of Duty seemed to pick back up with this game after a few poor games in my opinion.
