I played the campaign and onlinegames. The campaign game is interesting but at no point did I ever feel it was unbeatable. The enemy AI is average at best. I don't need a campaign game that is unbeatable but it would have been nice if it was a little more challenging. It is not like the game couldn't have been more challenging. I mean there was some intense situations but even the worst situation couldn't be defeated after a couple of tries at the intermediate level. The graphics were okay but not revolutionary. I hated the online play. The battlefiedl terrain had hard boundaries that you quickly discovered. I hated the attack dog option - where attack dogs are unleashed on the battlefield and they can kill you if you don't shoot them. I thought that was pretty unrealistic. I totally hated the online play. Modern Warfare 2 was a much better implementation of online play. I thought the Vietnam war era weapons were interesting but I just never felt comfortable with the game play or the game graphics. If you haven't been sucked into buying this mediocre game yet...do yourself a favor and skip it. It isn't worth the money or your time.

Good game always been one of my favorites but it seems to freeze from time to time

I bought this for my 13 year old son, he seems to have a good time on it. Usually online so he can play with other people. Havent heard any complaints so far.

First off I'd like to remind you that I'm not a fanboy of any game. I like all games and state my own personal opinions. Anyways, Call of Duty: Black Ops seemed like it'd be a blast. But that promise was never made. The campaign was really the only good aspect of the game. It had a fairly decent storyline for a FPS. Zombies wasn't too bad either, but it got old after awhile, even with the map packs. The multiplayer was very disappointing. Compared to the other CoD games, the multiplayer lacked in fun. There wasn't really anything that made me want to come back and play it. It was very repetitive, even with all the game modes. The sound isn't anything special. Explosions sound muffled and fake. All of my friends who have played Black Ops say the guns, more specifically the SMGs, sounds like your hitting a tin can with a butter knife. The graphics are the same old. Nothing special. The other main feature is combat training. In combat training you play against A.I. It's very similar to multiplayer, except that your playing against the computer. The only complaint I have about it is that the A.I. system is just awful. Simply terrible. For example, sometimes you can chase around an A.I. enemy around the map, and he'll never know your there. I'm not saying that this game is the worst game ever made by any means. However, I feel like it lacks the "polish" that the other Call of Duty games had.

Love the online play with this game. Warning gameplay can become addictive.

The graphics and game play is amazing. Great story line. I don't like the maps as well as MW2. I really dislike Nuketown map. Seems like there are plenty of hackers on multiplayer mode to ruin lot of games.

I have wanted this game since it first came out. I can honestly say it has been well worth the wait!

not my cup of tea story was about D+ mighty seen story like this in a movie gameplay is same as any COD series only this time u have some leap off into cover multiplayer suck that's it zombies well hate I have to buy there DLC that require getting the detail DLC trophies/achievements Im hoping to get it done by 2016 so I can move on to the next best game

The Call of Duty franchise has risen to become about the most popular and financially successful game in entertainment history. With the release of 4 enormously popular games COD:4, COD:WAW, MW2, Black Ops and yet to be release Modern Warfare 3. Each had achieved critical acclaim from many well re-known reviewers and fans alike, but Call of Duty: Black Ops on the other hand, seems to have a dark side to its story. As this point in time, the multiplayer is plagued with players that exploit the game's perks and weapons. The Famas and AK-74u has came to be one of the most over used and over powerful weapons in the game. With unbelievable strength, accuracy and unrivaled weaponry attachments, it makes the game boring and stale as these weapons are over used by the community and the only ones that are ideal as the rest of the weapons become obsolete when compared with these guns. The Perk Ghost and Second Chance has also suffered the same fate as the Famas and AK-74u, as they too had become over used and over powered. Ghost allows the player to be invisible to another player's killstreaks and equipment. As good as this seems it is an annoyance as the majority players use it and "camp" in corners greatly reducing the pace of the game to a very boring experience. Second Chance allows the player to go into the floor and pull out their pistol in a final attempt to get revenge. This perks is extremely broken as when the player going into second chance mode they are basically invincible while the other player is completely at their mercy of their pistols that is unbelievable powerful. And last the not least the lag, which is an everyday occurrence. Players often complain about that they are being killed around corners in a way that it can be almost classified as a "Wanted" movie moment, as bullet seemly fly around corners killing you. The knife is also an enormous issue, its very unpredictable. You knifing somebody is not a guarantee that it will kill them, either because its somehow missed completely or the other person knife its just bigger than yours when both of you knife at the same time. And even in several occasions your knifes aren't registered either. Overall I think Black Ops can be a fun game with the theatre mode, zombies, create an emblem, private matches and fun game modes like Gun Game. But you may soon will find that the troubles are worth more than the actually "fun" as the bads in this game will make this game the most frustrating you will most likely will ever play. This is frustrating game and In my opinion I still prefer to play Modern Warfare 2.
