It's a COD game. Not a great one. But it'll do I guess.

By far the worst call of duty in history. Spawns are so bad in this game. Literally this guys have been doing cod for what? 14 years and still can’t figure it out? And a ww2 game with laser attachments and 2000’s tech? What? They couldn’t decide what they wanted? It’s the spawns and the mechanics of the game that make it terrible. Just terrible. Nobody liked it and they killed warzone with caldera

I bought the game hoping to be a great game for the kids and me and we were very disappointed.

Even though I bought it for 20 dollars I really didn't find the game to be that fun

Compared to MW19 this game plays like MW3. Spawn camping is extremely easy, graphics are sub par. Big let down.

It alright. I very much prefer COD 2019 more for the single player campaign mode alone.

Campaign didnt auto download when starting. Bought the game to play not to play online

I wanted to like Vanguard so much. The TTK and many other mechanics suck all of the joy out of this multiplayer experience. You're better off playing Black Ops Cold War or MW2 2022.

I haven't posted a review since 2 relases ago. But I'm compelled to address this years version. ________Multiplayer________ First off, let's be real honest, after just a few hours a play it's as basic as it gets. The gameplay is nothing special and doesn't distinguish itself from any other COD. - Movements are robotic, most especially, the throwing of lethals and equipment. Stiff, boring, and created for standing as still as possible. - Camping is certainly an all time high based on map design. There are sooo many straight-aways and narrow passages that it becomes a long range assualt rifle and snipers delight, which makes rushing the biggest crap shoot... Good luck getting close enough for more then 5-10 seconds. Those who do pass the gauntlet can feast on a remarkable amount of spawn eliminations. - Maps are simply, poorly designed. The angle shots are so simple that you literally have NO incentive to move from any location until spawn flips catch you off guard. It's amazingly sad. This is includes high points that allow for scoping out spawns... again AR and Snipers Thanksgiving. - Weapons are interesting as far as variety for the time period. But lets get real, old school guns with modernized scopes is a twist but isn't in any way a game changer. - Game modes are lackluster, very little options which aren't much different from one another and definitely don't compare to the amount offered in Cold War. And let's not get into Zombie mode right now. Gosh, talk about pointless. Anyways, nothing new or cool about the game modes. _________Zombies__________ - Zombies has definitely changed in terms of format and what you need to do. But wow, it's simple, and pointless. However, I do enjoy the relentless zombie hoard that flows in once you actually discover how to get to the next round. And also, enjoyed the Perk Leveling system. No longer just a one and done sip of the juice. You choose which perks are more important to you and increase the potency of the drink multiple times. Otherwise, just a time wasting game mode with no real achievable goals or incentives. _________Campaign__________ Although campaign is a vital part of CODs history, I stood away in order to really see what changed this year. The campaign doesn't make or break the deal. The competition does. Map designing does. Game modes do. Weapon upgrades and options do. So, you can judge campaign solo, because we didn't just buy it for the campaign. __________Overall____________ It's Call of Duty, we as gamers at this point know what to expect as far success and potential failures in this franchise. History has dictated that. It just seems the old school era release, like other releases, is an opportunity for Activision to take another year off from amazing and give themselves more time to reinvent the wheel with another modernized COD next year. HOWEVER!! With controversy swirling around Activision Blizzard I can only imagine this game is limited on resources to really keep this years release alive, well, and growing. Quite frankly, this smells as if this is the beginning of the end to the franchise. All good things do eventually come to an end. RIP. Hope this helps. And as always...GAME ON!!!
