Customers are saying

Customers are positive about the engaging gameplay, immersive story, and fun zombie mode in Call of Duty: WWII. Many also praised the campaign and the game's realism. However, some customers expressed concerns about the limited number of maps and issues with online server stability. Overall, the game's positive aspects appear to outweigh the negative feedback.

    Sniper focused

I played online for about two weeks before I sold it. I got sick of getting killed by snipers quick scoping, and had to get rid of it. I only purchased it to play multiplayer as I am not into the COD campaigns or zombies. The multiplayer maps were all sniper/rifle focused. I enjoy up close battles with SMGs and using the maps to cater to the fire rate advantage they have, but there was little to no opportunity for that as you are constantly getting shot by sniper rifles from ridiculous and impractical quick scoping.

Graphic nightmare and multi player a joke

Well to start, Bestbuy was a disaster on my order still waiting for the season pass code on one order. But the game itself is choppy, and movements are worse Ive seen in a shooter in forever. Activision should go back to World at War and see how that game was for the way this game should be. All these 5 star ratings amaze me, goto amazon 2.5 at best rating. Multi player spawn killing, players skipping on screen your chasing and hit markers for headshots drove me nuts. Done with COD games for good after this waste of 100+ for boots on ground edition.

Poor man's version of BF1. Don't waste your money

If I had to pick between this game or battlefield 1 revolution. Without a doubt I would pick battlefield 1 revolution. That game is truly a masterpiece and shouldn't be missed out on by anyone that loves FPS. No, I'm not a fanboy. but I own it, so I have something to compare it to. My initial thoughts of the game after playing the beta. I still feel like I'm playing the beta. The navigation through the menu is terrible and confusing. The graphics look very outdated. Sound effects from firing guns sound cheap and weak. The guy voice over is annoying. If you can get into a multiplayer team death match it's very boring and only goes up to 75 points. There's no music or nothing going on, so you don't feel that excited when you get into a match. The game tries to copy some of the elements from Battlefield 1 like operation, except it's called war which is like attack and defend certain sections of a map, but fails miserably at it. Also it copied battle packs that you can earn, and currency you can also earn to unlock different things. Zombie mode is fun but I don't think it's worth the price to justify getting the game. I haven't played the campaign yet, but I heard it was fun. I know people won't like what I have to say about this game, but read the reviews from other sites like amazon etc.

I was hoping this COD would be an upgrade in being fun to play in Multiplayer from the recent previous COS's but once again the multiplayer is cartoonish, sound effects are lame and the maps are small. Campaign mode was good however. I give it a 3.5 to 4 Stars. But let's face it ! Most people, after completing the Campaign, they play Multiplayer the rest of the time. I'll take it in for "store credit" and try something else out.

I'm a WW2 buff and got this game at 59 years old. I was worried that it would be too complicated for me to play, but I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't. Will be looking into other COD games to purchase, hoping that they live up to this one.

    Good campaign...really bad online matchup

Like every other iteration this is no different. Online matchup constantly drops and kicks out. This afternoon flat out disallowed entry into online lobby for hours. Best buy bonus code not working at Activision site. No support. Its a pure and simple money grab every year and I fault myself for buying the hype every year

Single player campaign is short, has a few good moments but is pretty boring. Multiplayer is bad, half the features don't work. QS is out of control, only 9 maps. Gets worn out really quick.

The Beta had better servers/Hit scan than release

Picked up the game on the midnight release, obvious download time which was fine. The next morning actually getting to sit down and play this game I realized a couple things. 1.) The online servers are below average, 100% of the time even still today leaving a match after its done and load-up time takes longer than a Nier : Automata cutscene. Literally. 2.) Idk what it is but the guns hit scan is funny now. Way way way less accurate than the beta where at least the bullets shoot crisp because I know this game isn't battlefield and has bullet drop, which it doesn't. I'd return it if I could, probably sell it off for $40 and stick to my remastered COD: MW. Honestly, I'd rather play World at War or Big Red One than WWII, the formers being awesome games compared to the tragedy sledgehammer got caught up in.

    Still the same old mechanics...

If you like the frenetic chaos of the past two games, this is just your thing. If you were hoping for a little old school... forget it. While the setting is nice and the graphics are OK, they are still small maps where very predetermined lines of fire resulted in predictable patterns of movement even in a 3 day Beta. Even in the COD version of Rush the map is smaller than most BF maps, smaller than Titan Fall maps where wall running, jet boosts and grapple hooks seem less chaotic than in this WWII shooter. There is little to no strategic or tactical thinking... it's just run and gun... and of course the most "realistic" part of WWII is present.... "Quick-scoping". Any war game that requires less aiming and more shoot-first mentality isn't for me...

    Another year, another COD

This year's Call of Duty is okay at most. Just a shooter for me to play with friends when their's nothing else. The game has gone back to its World War 2 roots but it brings back none of nostalgia of the older titles. The campaign is average, multiplayer is nothing special, and bunny hopping in it is ridiculous.

This is probably the first call of duty I'm going to return. It's the worst graphics I've seen in 2017 and the gameplay is so childish.
