Overall this is a nice heating pad. Very nice for sore shoulders, stomach, leg or back. This blanket comes with 3 heat and 3 message settings. (Low, Medium, High) The weight and heat are really nice. It heats fast. I would like the vibration to stay on longer than 15 min. though. (Built-in 2 hour auto shut off for heat setting; built-in 15 min shut off for massage setting) I tried it on my back. I liked it, but felt it would be better if the vibration units were not in the center of the pad if you want to place it the long way on your back. There are 2 units that create the vibration in the middle, each down one third of the way. I would also prefer the controller a little further away from the pad. It felt awkward reaching it in some positions. Works nice for shoulders or back running the horizontal way. Also was told by a family member that it works nice for menstrual cramps. The pad is 12 x 24 in size so it covers a nice area, They cord is a nice length as well. Overall, this pad provides some nice relaxing relief. Also would be a great gift idea for those with frequent aches and pains. ~Reviewers in this invitation-only program are provided products for the purpose of writing honest, unbiased reviews

We purchased this item while traveling and unfortunately it shorted (sparked a blue spark and stopped working) out 4 days after purchase. I have not had time to take it back to the store since I am moving from Texas to Georgia.

I like this product but I do have a few cons for it. Pros: Like the weighted feature as it makes for better contact when using it. Vibration aspect is nice compared to a conventional heating pad. Oversize pad is good for covering a large area during use. Built in timer is nice so you don't fall asleep and leave it on Seems to be well built and feels substantial. Cons: Does not seem to get as warm as my old style conventional heating pad. I don't like the fact that it tells you not to lay on the pad while on as that is how I am used to using a heating pad on my back. Vibration feature is nice but it is kind of loud and makes it distracting when using. Overall a very nice product except for the few drawbacks.

I got this as I've got to get hip replacement surgery soon and my hip, and back, are both quite painful. Heating up that area seems to help. I really didn't need the weighted function but my wife may use it when she lies down and lies it on her back. The vibration at the lowest setting is very quiet, move it up to medium or high though and it's going to be a little bit of noise so be aware. I usually just run mine on low vibration and high heat. And boy does the high heat work wonders. I can't recommend it enough, especially for back issues and/or hip issues. I take a tylenol and use this and it's almost as if my hip and back issues are gone for a while. So I cannot say this strongly enough, this is a must buy if you're looking at heating pads, especially if you want a weighted heating pad (and yes it is heavy but nothing crazy). The cord is also pretty darned long too so you' won't be hunting for an extension cord. I can't imagine life without this thing. I'm sure I'll use it less once I get my hip replaced but for now I"m just enjoying the heck out of it! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was excited to be getting a really large heating pad that also massaged.... not so excited after receipt. The instructions recommend that you fold it in half and turn it on for 2 minutes to heat up the clay beads - that worked well! It has 2 sides - one to use against your body (light grey) which is very soft. Nice long 9 foot cord so you are not limited to where you have to sit. It has 3 heat settings and 3 massage settings - all have timer settings for safety. To begin, I am not thrilled with this heating pad. It is a great size however you have to place it on your body which depending on where you need the heat it can be awkward and uncomfortable. It states to not use against furniture or lay on it - not great when you need to sit up and place it around your lower back. I had it up against a blanket on my couch to use it on my lower back and I found it useful (don't understand why they say don't do this!) When I used it for my upper shoulder area the pad kept slipping off down my back - not a fan - had to continuously hold it in place. The massage part of this pad is really not a soothing massage at all but more of a vibrating pad with 2 ball things on either end and loud - misleading. The heat levels are ok but the high heat level didn't seem like it was as hot as I would have expected - especially getting heat thru clothing to the sore area. I had one issue when I moved where i was sitting and had to unplug and plug into a different outlet. The unit wouldn't turn on and I had to sit for a few minutes until it decided it would turn back on.

The design of this is really nice. It's weighted, which really is a must for something like this to maintain the proper feel. It has adjustable vibration and heat levels, so you can tailor the feel to how you like it. Works perfect for your lower back and really feels great for those aches and pains. The controller is attached and the cord is of suitable length. There is also an auto-off option for both the heat and massage features just in case you might fall asleep. Overall, this heat/massage pad is great for those aches and pains and can be used on your knees, feet, shoulders, but I think it's best designed for the back.

OK heated pad if you follow the instructions

This pad works pretty well. It heats up quickly and has a nice consistent heat. It was especially nice to use on my lower back after a day of yardwork. I also like the weight. Its not heavy and not something that makes it work better, but it does feel like it sits still a bit better since it has a little weight to it. There are a few weird points about the pad. Once side of the pad is a full list of the ways not to use it. If you follow all of those instructions, basically you can only use the pad with it resting on top of your body. I know that sounds obvious, but it says specifically not to lay on it or put it between your body and any other surface. This means if the back of your legs/thighs are sore, you have to lay on your stomach and have it draped across your legs. You can’t put it on the couch and sit up with your legs over the pad. You also can’t sit up in a chair and have it against your back, you again have to lay on your stomach and really not move because it slides around surprisingly easily. Really according to the instructions and warnings this has pretty limited use and not what you would expect from a heat pad. This leads to the massaging function. It doesn’t massage, it vibrates. There are two cylinders on either side of center that vibrate. There are three settings, but it doesn’t massage. Maybe it would if you sat in a chair and pressed the vibrating cylinder right into your muscle with a little pressure . . . but they have a warning against doing that. Overall, I thought the massaging function was useless. My teenager liked it and thought it was relaxing and soothing to have it vibrate, but it didn’t do anything for the actual muscles and wasn’t even placed next to the muscles that ached. The unit also very strongly warns against sleeping with the unit turned on. I can understand that, but if you’re worried it has a 2 hour timer and turns off automatically. I only used that feature once and actually had to leave it and come back to see if it actually turned off. I really only need to use it for around 30 min at a time, so it was kind of a pain to see how well that feature worked. If you’re the type that has a lot of free time to just hang out laying on your stomach for 2 hours at a time (and might fall asleep) then you’ll probably love that feature. For me, the timer will probably only be used if I forget to turn it off and for some reason leave the pad out and not put it away immediately. Overall, given all the instructions and warnings saying it can’t be used how I would normally expect it to, I would rate this unit as only ok.

I don't think I've used a weighted heating pad before and wasn't sure about it. But this works really well and I think the fact that's is weighted adds helpful pressure to my back, stomach and shoulders. It's a nice large size that soothes the whole area and because it's so large, it really fits perfectly love my shoulders too. I like the 3 levels of heat and the highest level offers a great amount of heat and that's what I usually use it on. I also love the massage setting and you have 3 levels as well. The pad just feels really nice and comfortable no matter where I use it. Another thing I love, is the auto shut off, 15 minutes for massage and 2 hours for the heat. My mom tried it and loves it too. So I'm going to surprise her with her for Christmas. I only have good to stay about this because it's helped me so much, especially with my back and shoulder pain. It works quicker, deeper and better than the regular hearing pad I have. Definitely would recommend.

This is the perfect little pad you need to keep with you if you have aches and pains. If you train, it is big enough to wrap a knee or thigh! My lower back pain is eased when I put this in my office chair and use it at work. Simply plug it in and the remote is simple and straightforward to use. One button handles the intensity of the vibrations and the other controls the heat. In all, it does the job and there isn't anything that wows me here. If you are in the market for a heating pad, this could be for you!
