As a person who has an arthritic shoulder, this product comes in time and is much needed! I love that the product features 6 settings plus a controller. At first putting the pad on needed some adjustment as I felt the weight of the product. However, after turning on the settings and applying it to my left shoulder which is always in constant pain, it truly was an optimal therapeutic experience. The pad really applies great vibrations that send soothing effects to my shoulder. I love that the pad comes with 3 levels of heat as well as vibrations. The vibrations are so soothing that they cause me to fall asleep and get a good's night rest.

This pad is exactly as advertised. Heats up fast, has a couple of massage points which I liked on my back. The weighted beads help it to conform on my shoulders as well when I applied both the heat and massage (very relaxing). Good product, recommend!

    Disappointed

I don't know if I had unrealistic expectations or whether it just didn't live up to reasonable expectations but I found myself disappointed with this product. At its base, it is an extra large heating pad with three levels of heat. While there was some, I did not find a significant variation in the levels. Next, it is weighted, which I did find calming so that is a plus. However, it is supposed to be a substance which holds the heat. I did not find that to be the case but perhaps it is because it just didn't get hot enough. Next, it does have a three speed gentle massage feature which works nicely. However, it is so loud when it is running that it negates the calming effect of the weighted part. Disappointed. All that said, I did find just having it on medium heat on my back had a very calming effect. I did like the longer cord but would prefer a 12 foot cord but 9 feet is better than 6. I also appreciate the automatic shut off feature. Just to get a second opinion as I want to be fair in my review, I asked my daughter to try it. Her review was about the same as mine except she felt a larger variation in temperature but it still did not get as hot as the one she has and she also found the heat wasn't retained.

    Good heating pad, disappointing massage

I think maybe my expectations were too high for what was described as a massaging heating pad. That feature turned out to be two cylinders that divide the pad roughly into thirds. Instead of a massage, which I think of as a motion, the cylinders just vibrate. On the lowest speed, it might help a little if you had a muscle cramp or something. The two higher speeds really didn't do anything other than make a lot more noise. Even on the lowest setting, i found it to be a little too noisy to be comforting. On the plus side, though, the weights (clay beads) did work well to keep the heat pressing into your body. In fact, even on the lowest setting I thought it was a little on the hot side, but I think it may have been the weight effect. Overall, it's a decent heating pad but just don't expect too much from the "massage" feature.

The weight is nice and helps it stay in place. The massagers aren’t terribly effective. It can have a distraction effect, but won’t likely be strong enough to help with a spasm. Overall the heating pad doesn’t get as warm as ones I have had in the past. It is recommended that you fold it and let it warm itself up, but it didn’t have any major effect.

    It doesn’t vibrate

I thought it was vibrating along with heat. But it’s weighted and heated not exactly what I wanted but its main function is a heating pad so I’ll keep it.

I have arthritis on my neck and have to sit in front of a computer for 8 hours a day. The ac makes it worse so decided to buy the weighted heating pad. So glad I did, the heat really makes my neck feel so much better

    Nice and big, some drawbacks

First, I love the larger size of this heating pad compared to the others I have had in the past. It really covers a lot of space which is great if you have back aches like I do. The weight is sufficient, not overly heavy, and does provide a bit more calming effect than a normal heating pad would. I also appreciate the extra cord length because now I no longer have to find an extension cord to reach the bed from the nearest open outlet. The automatic shutoff is another nice addition. Now for the drawbacks. The "massaging" function is a bit misleading. It doesn't massage; it vibrates. Some. And loudly. I didn't find this feature nearly as useful as I had hoped it would be. The vibrating units are also a bit large and become uncomfortable if they get in the wrong spot (like when you lay on the pad--even though the warnings specifically tell you not to do that!). To me, the massage is more of a gimmick which is disappointing. Also, I don't feel like this pad gets as warm as others and the steps between settings seem to offer only a negligible difference in heat. For a step up from a small, basic heating pad, this is a decent one because of its large size and added weight. The overall usefulness and effectiveness are another thing altogether though. Might consider looking elsewhere if those are the selling points for you.
