    I bought a cartridge with my printer purchase 6 months ago but just opened it and replaced the one that came installed and within a few weeks it is saying it needs to be replaced. How can the first one last several months longer?? The printer is also telling me I'm out of the 3 colors that came installed for months but I don't even use the "print in color" option.

    We haven't had to change the ink cartridge in the two years we've had it. It lasts for quite some time given the amount of paperwork we print out.

    I've used the Canon Imageclass printer for six months (hate it). I've printed a total of 1150 pages on it, 115 which were black and white. The vast majority consisted of half page shipping labels and half page receipts, so very low coverage. I replaced the cartridge that came with the printer three months ago and I'm now out of toner. Being generous: I printed 500 pages and am out of black toner. I'm going back to Brother printers.

    Terrible printer. Configuring the machine in order to print wirelessly apparently requires a masters degree in computer science. User manual is even worse. Absolute waste of money.
