These are great cartridges. I received a new printer as a gift in October 2015. I was skeptical because it didn't print color and the cartridges seemed pretty expensive. However, after trying it out, I was very impressed. I print pretty regularly for work and I didn't have to replace my first cartridge until about February 2017. That was well over a year of regular use. I could not ask for a better result. I would highly recommend this.

The cartridge was pretty close of estimated number of copies before changing. Print quality remained top notch during its life cycle. Saving 15% off price as a My Best Buy member was an additional plus.

When I had my inkjets I always bought generic cartridges or filled my own. However after reading laser cartridge reviews I decided that for laser it's best to bite the bullet and buy the OEM -- there's just too much heat in a laser to risk combustible stuff from some generic trying to cut costs. Several reviewers, one who was in the business and knew better, had their printers literally blow up. Best Buy gives 15% off on toners. If I get an inkjet in the future I'll revert to generics but not with a laser. The printing is good.

I decided to get away from the ink jet printers because I used the color so infrequent that they dried up. After finally using the starter cartridge up and how long it took to use it up (almost a year) I have high hopes for tones of perfect print jobs being done for a few years. Always buy on sale to help keep the cost down.

I had purchased a cheaper cartridge for my Canon MF220 and it did not work in our printer. I was stuck with the overly-expensive Canon cartridge and it works great. No issues with how it works. However, like all ink, they are way too expensive for just black ink. They are almost as much as the printer itself. I like to limit my waste in the landfill and sent the empty cartridge back. It would have been nice to receive a credit for future purchase since they are repurposing it.
