    It is nice to get two cartridges in one pack. I never use the photo paper though. Prints come out great but the photo paper setting uses too much ink. I wish the cartridges lasted longer in general.

    You get what you pay for. If the printer calls for genuine ink, its because the parts are calibrated to handle all the specs of THAT ink, viscosity, psi, color pigment, all these things. When you bring in non proprietary inks, the results can be undesired and can actually cause issues with printer functionality (possible even rendering it useless). Do yourself a favor and buy this ink for your compatible canon printer.
