If you need quality ink for printing then you should buy the real stuff. I needed to print place cards and address stickers for my wedding and our cheap stuff didn't work well. Bought the canon ink and it worked great.

This Canon ink cartridge is a great ink cartridge. The color "black" was definitely black and was very easy to install into a printer.

This ink works great in my Canon printer. I buy this continually from Best Buy because they keep it in stock at a very good price. The ink doesn't last as long as I would like but that is Canon's fault, not Best Buys fault. I have an HP printer and the ink for it doesn't last long either.
