High quality, but doesn't go the distance

But I am replacing ink regularly. I intentionally have my default settings to grayscale to minimize and color usage or minimal. Still, even in the fast - lowest quality setting - the inks drain quickly. Not sure if this is common with other users, but it is my only pet peeve with these inks. Otherwise, quality product.
