Gray is not the new black

The “salesman” at BestBuy told me “Uh...yeah...This is what they are calling black, I don’t know why but gray is the new black, so this will work, can I help you find anything else?” Thankfully the answer was no or I might have ended up with a blender to replace my wifi router.
