I only had to read the instructions one time and I was ready to go! AND the magenta cartridge actually dispensed a reddish ink just like it's supposed too! Whether you have a technical background or not you should be able to handle these cartridges with ease! I think Canon should go nationwide with this theme of "Anyone can do it!"
