Good price with Reward Zone membership

Obviously buy brand ink for your printer gives better printing results. Having said that, if you will print photos, the included paper and the ink cartridges bundle + being a Reward Zone member gives you a discount on ink. Brings it down to a pretty good price.

The cartridges work, but they're over-priced

I was able to purchase a set at Best Buy for a decent price (Black Friday price) but I have always felt somewhat ripped off by the prices of ink-jet cartridges in general -- not just Canon but other brands as well. In the past I tried refills, but they are a bit difficult to locate.

replacing ink is easy

This system has worked well for us for 5 years. Best for photos, but not for high volume printing of text. Ink is ok, but would use a different system. It is good for photos and normal house printing.
