Good colors but seems to go through ink quickly

I do like to be able to switch out only one color instead of changing a single cartridge when one of the colors runs out. The Epson 4550 with a year-long ink supply sounds worth investigating. Would I recommend this? How about a MAYBE option?

I love my Canon printer

The only time I had a problem was when I wanted to be thrify and I purchased non OEM ink! that was less expensive, but it ruined my printer. Since then I only use Canon ink. I would rather lay out the extra bucks, but I watch for sales and coupons before I buy ink.
