Cartridges do last a long time and produce great quality color. The XL are a good buy and do last longet.

I have used both Epson and Canon printers. I have found I prefer Cannon. The inks last a long time and are reasonably priced.

Do not use a lot of color printing so it meets my needs. The color is good and there is no expiration date so you do not have to worry about damaging your printer when the ink expires.
