These ink cartridges only last a short time at normal use. I always write the date of installation on the cartridge before installing in my Canon MG7720 printer. The usual time to empty is from 30-40 days. They are very costly to replace, and I note that the printer will refuse to print unless you replace the empty cartridge, no matter the color. As usual, the manufacturer will almost give the printer away and make up for it by high ink prices.
