Excellent scanner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Scans gorgeous documents and photos. Installs easily on a Windows 10 desktop. True plug-n-play. Doesn't make coffee, vacuum, or answer the door, it kind of just sits there on its stand (which is included)

Better, Cheaper Options Out There
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So here was my thinking: I want a big flat bed to really maximize surface area. I want something that can do crumpled, janky pieces of paper, and I want a sleek desktop without large equipment gunking up my desk space. Here's where I succeeded: 1) It looks cool 2) It's smaller than an all-in-one printer/scanner/fax Here's where I failed: 1) It's comically slow. Like... it made me laugh the first time. 2) It has connectivity issues with some laptops. My theory is a power over USB issue with older laptop machines, perhaps outdated USB drivers, etc. 3) This thing cost 3 times as much as some of the basic all-in-one printers out there. At the end of the day, the cost/benefit analysis just doesn't make sense to me. All-in-ones are cheaper, faster, (can) give you the feed option for when you need it, and they serve as a printer too. This guy is just too slow to be practical.

Great scanner for home use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had to replace my Cano-Scan because I had to replace my computer and the scanner I was using was not compatible with my new computer. Since I had received excellent service from my old scanner I wanted another CanoScan. I am not a techie so I called Canon and they walked me through the set up. The technician made it easy to follow his instructions. I only need the scanner occasionally for letter size documents and it does what I need it to do.

it is easy to use and has great software
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This canon scanner is very light and uses power via a UBS connecting to a computer, no need to plug it into an electric outlet. The software coming with it is powerful and easy to use.

Easy to use, reliable, affordable
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works just as well as the Lide 110 but faster. Scanner buttons don't work with Windows 10 but aren't really necessary. I'd buy it again.

Not as "professional" as my last Canon.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Canon is not as "usable" as my last Canon - but I'm sure it is less expensive. My last Canon (at least 15 years old) only came on when I activated it; This one comes on with the computer and stays on (on-off-on- off anytime the computer automatically shuts down and I turn it back on.) Wish I had my old one back - that was not "compatible iwith my Windows 10.

Just fine, but 2 stars for incorrect description
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't know why companies think they can get away with this, but the description says "This Canon CanoScan LiDE220 9623B002 flatbed scanner allows you to scan a page in about 10 seconds in up to 4800 x 4800 dpi optical resolution, so you can faithfully reproduce images. Send to Cloud enables you to upload images to select Cloud services." In fact, a 300 dpi scan (any bit depth) takes about 17 seconds, and a 600 dpi scan takes about 35 seconds. I didn't test 150 dpi, but that is pretty low if you want to OCR the document after scanning. If there was a better product on the market, I would jump at it. But this just seems par for the course -- cheap, reliable, and annoyingly slow. The scans appear to be spot-on, as I have found all Canon LiDE scanners for the last 5 years or more. But if they would make one that would save me time, I would shell out money for it. It is a great scanner for the money. It just doesn't meet the description by Best Buy (presumably written by Canon).
