Q: Does it has OCR? I want to use it to scan recipes from magazines. thanks
A: I'm not sure about the software that comes along with the product, but you might consider using Paperwork (openpaper.work) which does use OCR and works well with this scanner.

A: Yes, you can insert a thumb drive into the USB port of a PC and scan documents directly to the drive.
