I got fed up with an hp printer. This one is much better

This has been on sale a few times and we picked it up once when on sale. It is nice to have AirPrint which makes it easy to print from iPhone. I also didn’t have to set it up on any of our computers since they recognize it automatically.

I bought this with some good feedback on the slickdeals forums. After purchasing, the print quality is definitely good. The scanner quality at 300dpi however, was very blurry. I would have to bump up to 600dpi for it to be usable. I was pretty disappointed so I ended up returning the unit.

Print quality far superior to comparable HP printer

Setup was very easy. Wifi setup worked and continues to work great. I wish it allowed custom copy and scan settings each time you go to copy or scan. Instead you have to work with customized presets. Printing from iPhone is hit-and-miss. Toner life is great. I'm about 1000 sheets into it and still on the starter toners. 80% remaining on black, 90% on colors.

Overall solid printer. We use daily to print a few pages at least. Cannot be used for printing photos though, poor image quality for photos. It seems to loose IP address sometimes, regardless of wired or wireless. Menus are bit complex. It’s still a good printer and I would recommend if you can live with the issues above.

I bought for my home. But i was too big. I couldnt figure out how to set up the scan to email thing and gave up

The printer so far works great I have had only a couple of works. I had a problem getting it connected up to the network, but I have the Best Buy Tech service and the finally got it working. I just had to use the DVD that came with the printer instead of downloading the drivers off the Canon webstie. I probably downloaded the wrong set of drivers.

Our bring printer went down and this was a suitable back up.

This printer is working very nice. Deduction of one star is, The installation instructions are not given clear. Still i am struggling to connect the printer for scanning , to upload the scanned doc into Laptop, feature through wifi. Need to call up the technician sooner.

Like the simplicity to install, and the touch screen.

I have had a number of excellent Canon all in one Printers. This one is OK but not great. The print quality is fine but I have had issues with loading the software as well as the operation of the machine. I would not recommend this particular Canon printer

Let me just start with saying this thing is big. Really big. It weighs over 50 pounds in the box and has equally large dimensions. I do not recommend trying to lift and set this up alone. This printer is not for an average home to just set on the corner of your desk but this printer is an amazing value for your home office if you have a lot of work to do from home. I am a self-employed contractor who assists medical offices and one of the things I do A LOT of is scanning. This is where this beast of a machine is worth every single penny. Not only is the automatic document feeder robust and not overly finicky about tears, folds or curls, but IT SCANS BOTH SIDES at the same time! It is an option in the settings you can toggle on and off as needed and a HUGE time saver!!! No more using the flatbed scanner and having to flip every single page over. This feature alone is worth way more than what I paid for the printer ($309.99 at the time of this posting). The only issue I have run into is the wireless connection dropped a few times so I went to a wired connection instead but there is a very good chance that that is due to my network switch dying (a replacement is on the way!) and not the printer itself. This is a premium machine at a very modest price. The cost of the pre-loaded toner alone is worth more than the machine! I simply can't say enough good things. Excellent quality prints that are fast. Wired and wireless printing. The air print feature is solid. And the scanner... if you have to do any amount of scanning, you know how tedious this can be. This printer makes scanning so much faster and easier. It is carving hours off of projects I am working on - a fact my clients and I are both grateful for!
