Very good lens
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am pretty satisfied with this lens. It has fast and quiet autofocusing. I did not not see too much CA. Comes with a lens hood and bag just like all of Canon's L lenses. I chose this lens over the 16-35 f/2.8 because it was cheaper.

Good wide angle for full frame cameras
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sure, it would be nice to get the wider aperture of the 16-35 f2.8, but for the difference in cost this is a great lens. You can still get nice bokeh with good lighting, and for landscape photography you will probably not miss the extra stop anyway. I probably wouldn't recommend this lens for a APS camera body because you will not get the benefit of the wide angle, but overall it's very good.
