One of the best lenses for the price

My choice was between the 50mm 1/8 and the 40mm 2/8. The 50mm is better on the books but I decided to get the 40mm 2/8. The reason because of the price and also the weight. Considered that I have a DSLR the lens and body makes it heavy. The weight of the 40mm is small and light. I leave it on my body all of the time.

Great little lens

Thought the lens was broken when I couldn't get it to retract and the manual days nothing of this, doing a little research I found that you have to have it in manual focus and make sure the lens is not asleep, hold the shutter half way down and then retract the lens to put on the cap, don't push it from the front! Other than that great buy!! Better than wasting the money on the cheap 50mm

Sharpest lense used period.

Very nice lens

This lens works great on close up shots. The shape of the lens results in pictures with a realistic perspective. It's also great to use instead of the larger lenses when you want to take pictures without being overly obstructive and don't require a great deal of zooming.
