My daughter is studying photography , she loves the lens. Tells me canon is the best

I have only used it once but really liked it! I can't wait to use it this week!

I have had the lens for a few months now and it is definitely worth the purchase. I immediately saw an improvement in the quality of the images I captured.

This is an excellent entry level lens and produces great images, ever since I purchased this lens i never want to take it off my camera. If i had to choose one lens to take with me, this is my choice.

The nifty fifty is a great investment for any beginner or avid photographer.

Not a high quality lens of course so don't expect a high quality sharpness from it. It's a great back up lens or a lens for an amateur photographer.

While its not the F1.4, for the price, you cant beat this fixed lens!!

After using my 18-55mm kit lens on my T2i for about 2 years, this lens was a day and night difference. Being able to open the aperture so wide has made those depth of field shots a breeze.

By far the best canon lens for the price. Great for low light, portraits, and many other situations. This is the lens on my Rebel almost 100% of the time. It works for shooting everything from product photos to family gatherings. The only downfall would be that it seems to be fairly easy to break.

Does what you would expect the lens to do. It takes great portraits.

I was looking for a good 50MM prime lens for a good price. With the picture quality I will be using this for a majority of my photography needs.

I am very happy with this lens. Light weight and was very affordable.

If you're a avid canon dlsr user, then you need one of these lens.

Lens is great but the built quality is poor but you get what you paid for. Great lens for the money

50mm f/1.8 II is the cheapest lens in the Canon line. Cheap really refers to the price tag only because for a price below 100 EUR you get a light-weight, high performing lens. So most affordable may be a better wording here. Naturally you can't expect wonders regarding build quality for this price but the compromises work out better here than with the cheapo kit zooms.

Have had a ton of fun using this new lens. Great value for price.

this lens has become in one of my favorites and not so expensive
