Great lens to have for just walking around
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good lens if you just want something to walk around with. The quality is great. Not the top choice for professional photography obviously, but it could work for preliminary test shots. This is a good vacation lens to have for sure. Its so lightweight and nondescript that it would be an ideal choice if you just want to take a few interesting pictures.

Good lens but fixed zoom
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a good and fast lens but remember that it has a fixed focus. You can not zoom. Will look at one with focus capability.

Excellent lens for most situations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For anything other than zooming in and out, this is a great lens. It is all you need if you want to take professional photos quickly, and without too much fiddling around with the settings. I almost never switch to another lens.

you get what you pay for
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The lens is a good lens for starting out. The photos come out fairly nice and great if this is the highest lens you have used. If you are not on planning on getting serious into photography this lens will work perfect. If you plan on doing more pay the extra 150-200 for the 1.4

Great beginner 50mm Lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a 50mm lens this is a great entry level product. Remember this unit is plastic and will likely break on you eventually. Thats to be expected out of any lens that is under $100.00. In the end it is worth every penny.

Innovative way to photograph
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm far to be a professional photographer, but I could enjoy great moments with my family using this lens. The effect of blurring the background remits to the 80's cameras. I used as macro too and I liked the results.
