Exellent! Well made lens

Color presentation, clarity and definition are superb. I've heard a few people complain about the 'plasticy-ness' but I haven't experienced anything that affects its performance or feel. Excellent particularly for the price.

Likeable lens

It is also wonderful how these lenses are interchangeable with other Rebel cameras. Quality of lens and its ability to produce a great end product is what Canon does best at any machine they create.

Canon - EF 50mm f/1.8 II Standard Lens

This lens does that. It was on sale and with my reward points it was a no-brainer. Ordered it one day and it arrived the next and shipping was free.

great lens for closer shots

Found out that the lens was still to close to take full close up pictures of the characters. Will know for next time that I need something where you can adjust the depth (zoom) that's not so far out.

The perfect lens for bokeh and portraits

I was looking for a lens that could do what I wanted in bokeh and portraits with equal clarity, blurriness and compact size. This is what I found with this lens.

Great lens for taking family pictures

We have a zoom lens, but the Canon 7D, gets heavy and clunky after a day of trekking around with four kids. The 50mm lens works great when you are close proximity to the subject i.e. day at the zoo.
