I was talked into getting this lens and I'm glad I did. I use this lens more than I ever thought I would. Highly recommend.

Very happy with the lens but like I said, I could have gotten it cheaper if I ordered it online instead of going into the store.

I use this 50mm for mostly portraits and it's great.

Great lense for close up shots and a very good price. Nice for facial close ups.

I'm a beginner photography enthusiast and bought the canon rebel 4ti and love it. The auto focus feature is great but it often cause a delay in shutter speed depending on the setting. I would recommend the camera.

Got this lens and paired it with my old rebel and I really liked it. Great prime for low light and light weight for hand holding. Great price. The reason it didn't get 5 stars was the build quality and it focuses slow for my taste. My wife had this on her rebel and i pulled it out of her purse and something caught the strap and it swung and lightly hit the couter and broke. I wasn't real happy because We are generally easy on our photo gearbut For that price you got to sacrifice something I suppose. I would certainly buy another but i have not done do yet. I would like to see an upgraded version that focuses faster and was built better also but for that I could just look at other more expensive 50mm glass

Great lens optically, so cheap almost disposable. Would like the 50mm F1.4 but it is not worth 3x as much as this lens.

Love how easy it is to take pictures,sharp ,quality pictures. Would recommend this lens to all beginners of photography.

Everything you expect from a Canon lens. Manual focus moves smoothly and the photos are great. No problems, no worries.

This lens is worth every penny. I would suggest anyone who can not afford to get a more expensive lens to get this one

For an APS-C sensor camera - it makes for an excellent portrait lens - specially when mated to a B+W Softar-1 lens.

This is an excellent lens for shooting portraits. It puts the focus on your subject, right where it should be.

Had a 300mm lens that works great. Needed a lens for close ups. After experimenting with different settings, found manual focus works excellent.

I love this lens. I take pictures of sneakers so a lot of up close shots and this lens is perfect for that.
