This lens performed as expected. It is for those shots where you want to get more of the background into the photo. However, this type of lens also increases chance of AF not targeting the correct subject and might have to be manually focused due to nature of this type of lens.

Wife needed a new lens for wider angles and interior shots. This lens did the trick without spending $1,000. Can’t beat the value and build quality of this lens.

Bought this lens at first thinking it was something else. Noticed it was pretty much the same lens we had except macro. Still a very great lens and decent price!

Got this at a recent sale at a price that better than the usual online internet sites. Great wide angle lens to have in your bag. This complements the 18-135 Canon STM that I normally use with my T4i

As an amateur photographer, I am learning the hard way that there are limitations with wide angle lenses. I bought this lens for our vacation to Niagara Falls, as it had been recommended to use a wide angle lens with landscapes. I haven't used another wide angle, so I can't compare this to any other one. The lens seemed to do what it was supposed to -- the automatic focus seemed to work fine with my EOS 60D. I was able to focus on a person in the foreground while capturing the waterfalls in the background. When trying to capture buildings, there was a distorted effect, with the sides seeming to lean toward the center. Things also seem further away with the wide angle. I found that I probably would have been able to capture most of my landscape scenes just as well with my 18-135 mm kit lens. My photos didn't seem particularly sharp, but I don't know if that is the lens, the camera, or the photographer!

This lens is perfect for the amateur photographer that wants to do close viewing pics. I haven't used it extensively yet (once flowers bloom it'll be better) but I can't wait. Worth the price.

Purchased this lenses to take interior shots for real estate sales. Photos are well balanced without the "fish-eye" that other lenses give you.

Just what I have been looking for. On sale was nice.

I was looking for an inexpensive ultra-wide lens for my Canon 70D to shoot the interior of my house which was up for sale. The standard 18mm is just not wide enough. This little lens fit the bill and did the job just fine. However, the budgeted price comes with a budgeted build, which is made of light plastic, including the lens mount.

I decided to purchase this lens new instead of used.

While the lens feels cheap and breakable it handles like a pro. Great for anyone who makes videos or advertisements.

I work in real estate and this lense is great for capturing the entire room. It is also great for larger family photos.

Nice wide-angle lens. Used at an airshow for static displays. Nice being able to get large aircraft entirely in frame. MAKE SURE you get a UV filter AND a circular polarizer and,consider a lens good as well. I only had the UV and there was some lens for a from the sun bouncing between front glass of lens and UV filter.

Decent for price. Wish it did better in low light.
