I bought this lens in hopes that I would get very good landscape pictures. In all the reviews I read, this was "the lens" to get for wide angle shots. Because I am such a beginner, this lens was too professional for me and I didn't think I would get the use out of it that I should so I exchanged it for the standard 50mm cannon f1.8 lens.

If you have a crop sensor camera (1.6) then you must own this lens. It is without a doubt my new favorite lens. I have worked with some L lenses and of course this isn't weather sealed like those. However, I love how much I'm able to cram into the picture or video I'm taking. Just an awesome piece of equipment for the price. A MUST.

I have several lenses. I did shop around for an additional smaller lens and this beauty does the trick. A whole lot of area covered in this lens. With technology the way it is, you can take a full picture and crop what you like in and what you don't. It's a nice clean crisp lens.

I got a Canon for Christmas this year and love the quality however I needed a little bit wider angle. I didn't want to fisheye but I needed something that could capture small rooms well. I do a lot of real estate listings and this is the perfect lens.

I read great deal of reviews, watched a bunch of YouTube videos and after that finally purchased it. You have to add this lens to your collection, the ultra-wide zoom can pack a lot of footage into one frame where the other lenses will cut-off half of the room.

    Great Wide Angle for Vlogging

I originally bought a 50mm canon lense for vlogging. You need a good bit of distance from you and the lense to create a good depth of field, and to make sure that you’re in frame. I bought this wide angle to solve the distance problem between me and the camera. I later learned that you can get BOTH of the lenses in one kit. I’d buy that kit, and get two solid lenses in one box.

I shot with a friend who was using this lens and I knew I needed it. Went out and purchased it maybe 2 weeks later after researching it in depth. Haven't gotten to play with it as much as I'd like, but I'll be traveling the west coast in a week, and I'm beyond excited to bring it along. The auto focus is so smooth

For me this is the easiest camera to learn how to use.The pictures are excellent in color and clarity and I'd recommend this camera to beginners as well as upper level users. Can't say enough about my love of this camera ,I take it everywhere I go. Wish to also thank the gentleman in camera dept. for steering me to this canon EOS T5i.

Recent real estate license calls for seeing things with a new perspective. After photographing my first clients home with this. We were surprised with the clarity and range with this. After posting. The home sold in a few days. Awesome lens.

I purchased this wide angle lens for a trip to Mt Rainier NP, and the Olympic peninsula. It definitely did not disappoint. Also allows me to get good Milky Way shots while having larger amounts of subject matter in the foreground to make it more interesting.

This lens was ideal to help me shoot my Real Estate photos. The clarity of the pictures is really great. The only negative was that the pictures had some darkness around the edges but I think a larger flash would make sure the pictures are even and doesnt have darker spots in the corners. This was about one of the lowest pricers I found this wide angle lens at.

I purchased this lens to work with my Canon 80D. I can tell you it is quiet. Very quiet. The inboard mics picked up only the very slightest of occasional sound but the hot shoe attached shotgun didn't capture a thing. The lens is fast, clear and near silent. The motors are not whirring away because the lens is spot on at least with my camera. But even when forced to do a rack shot and search a little it was the same great visual performance without the old grinding shifting sound. The photos are clear and excellent even in auto or p mode. Better still in manual as the lens moves quick. In video it's just a very good focal length and delivers excellent near silent shooting. And that was in a room with no sound at all. Using it in disneyland was excellent even with inboard mics because of natural sound. Truly a solid lens. And for the money or more money it is a good purchase. In no way is this a lens that provides resuls that should be linked to the moniker "for the money". It's just a good performer no matter what.

I bought this lens mainly because I do real estate photography. It was recommended to me by a few photographers when I mentioned struggling shooting bathrooms or smaller bedrooms. It's also great for larger rooms as well, and I use it for most interior shots now.
