Customers are saying

Customers highly value the EF-S24mm F2.8 STM Standard Prime Lens for its outstanding image quality, wide angle, and compact size. The reasonable price and lightweight design also contribute to its appeal. However, some customers have noted concerns regarding the focusing noise and compatibility issues with certain EOS bodies.

As a casual user that would have more auto settings used than manual, the lens is perfectly fine. As a walk around lens it is perfect. My experience was a bit different, where I felt my nifty fifty has better quality. The EF vs EF-S difference is apparent on a crop sensor. I use a 60D and it is true when they say with an EF lens you really hit a sweet spot on the glass while with the EF-S the quality isn't so great.

This lens takes nice pictures, but I don't see much difference with this lens and the kit lens in terms of picture quality.

Unfortunately, this lens has never worked with my EOS bodies. It is supposed to be compatible. My bodies are not defective. What a waste of money.

it is not exactly what I expected based on the YOU TUBE tutorials that I watched about this product before I went and bought it. The only feature that really pleases me is that it is good for daily walks as it is not very long. I've shown this to 2 of my friends and they are not pleased either.

Purchased this instead of the regular 50mm...I was excited to use it but the pictures where all out of focus...I had a big front focusing issue. The lens in very small and light weight as to be expected but the quality was not there...I would not recommend this lens
