I trade between this and the 18-55. Went to animal kingdom in disney world, and was able to snap photos of a lion using this lense awesome shot and very well focus.

Bought for up close shots of High School Cheer team and car shows and does a pretty good job, need to research a little more on moving subjects

This is a great telephoto lens. Recently used this on a golf trip and was able to get some great shots of the holes.

I bought this lens for my wife and she loves it. It can do 55-250 so it's pretty versatile. I like it because we (I) don't have to carry extra lens with us.

This lens has helped me see more shots of my sons' and their sporting events. I can take clearer photos and up close still shots as well. I would recommend it to any beginner photographer, as it is easy to attach and use and a good price point.

I needed a zoom lens but didn't want to spend a great deal of money. I am an amateur photographer and not a professional. I also needed a lens with the stabilization feature and that feature can add hundreds to the price. This is a great lens and it didn't set me back a fortune.
