I bought this lens to complement my 35 mm macro lens which I use on my SL2. This focal length lets me take macro photos from a little farther away. I’m looking forward to using it when small insects are in the garden.

This is a nice lens. It’s sharp and captures everything I put in front of it beautifully. The only thing I don’t like is the noise it make because of the image stabilization

This is a great lens to have in your bag. This is light weight and pretty sharp macro lens. This one is so good for portrait shots as well which I was very surprised. This can substitute those prime lenses very well.

Did research on this lens... It is all and more than I expected! Beautiful portraits!! Took some macro shots of the first snow fall... you can see every crystal in the flakes!

This lens will be in my "extra lens bag" as it is light, comfortable to use, and the focusing is smooth and manageable. The resultant pictures are sharp and clear and require little if any modifications with to respect to color, image shift, or boka.

Didn't know Best Buy carried Canon EF lenses. Checked on line, and was informed it was available at a store. I did not buy first on line. Went to the store and my sales person was very knowledgable on this item. Took all of 5 minutes and was on my way.

I was reluctant to invest in such an expensive lens, but Canon makes another superior product.

Short range to long range this lens provides the ability to capture images in amazing detail. Gone is the frustration of shooting something in the distance and then seeing something up close and the need to switch lenses.

I was skeptical about buying this lens because it is not cheap. Despite the cost, I decided to buy it and I am so glad I did! To me it takes the most amazing macro pictures; they are so very very detailed.
