Love it!! It’s super sharp and it was a great add on to my collection! Love me some canon.

I have been looking at this lens for a long time. I finally took the plunge. I am so happy I did. I shot my first portraits with it the other day and WOW!. The pictures are sharp. It is a little heavier than I anticipated but given the quality it is understandable.

Everyone says the lens is the most important piece of the camera system. Well, now that I own this amazing standard zoom, I can honestly say this premium quality lens is a total game changer. Previously, I would switch between my 24, 50, and 85 mm primes to capture a sufficient range of images to document various conferences and events. It was quite frustrating to be fiddling constantly with taking the lens on and off. But, my primes were such better quality than the kit zoom that came with the camera body. Consequently, I sold the kit zoom and ponied up for this baby. Reluctantly, I forked over the $1699 (w300 rebate). In retrospect, it would not even be a choice today - this is my best photography investment to date.

This was a gift and my daughter was thrilled to receive it. This was a lens that she really wanted because of it’s quality

Love this lens. It hardly leaves my camera because of the versatility that this lens provides. I do wish it wasn’t as heavy and bulky but that is the norm for zoom lenses.

I got this lens to improve pic quality. My skills have greatly improved so I needed a lens to match. Canon had a $150.00 rebate which made it a better deal. I'm shooting now for the 70 -200 II, and maybe the 85mm which should complete my lens purchases. Very satisfied with in store best buy purchase. They were in line with the on line price and allowed for me to handle before purchase. I'm satisfied with this lens.

I needed a better quality lens for doing more serious photography, this meets the need.

This is the third Cannon zoom lens that I've used to shoot high quality, fast action in-door pictures for my daughter volleyball games. The other lens were f3.5, results were ok but frequently the players or other action was blurred. This lens produce high quality, super clarity and brilliant color in low light conditions found in gyms. The lens is very expensive for the average photography work but if you want great pictures is fast action, low light settings this is the one. Their only this age once!

I've used this lens for multiple occasions over the years, which is why I've purchased a few of them. It's expensive, yes, but it's worth every penny. The images are tack-sharp and this lens will give you stunning pictures that you'll be mind blown at every time you view them.

This is an amazing Mid-range zoom lens by Canon. the 24-70mm is a great range, and the f/2.8 is fast enough for low light and/or shallow depth of field. It also has a great feel to it, the zoom ring is firm enough for steady zoom with video. It also has zoom lock to keep the lens compact during travel. Just a great upgrade to the Canon "L" series line of lenses.

It’s been great! It’s crazy what a change in glass can do for photo quality.

Is a nice lens to use always in your cam, very good quality but little bit heavy to carry

Although it took me about a year to buy this lens because of price, but buying it is the best decision have made when it comes to gears for my camera. I am impressed with its image quality and awesome DOF. It is way more reliable than my Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS.

I love this lens! I've been a wedding photographer for 2+ years now, and have been renting this lens from a local photo rental place but finally was able to purchase it myself. It's a staple for my business!! I love that the f-stop allows for a low aperture and blurred backgrounds, but I can be "closer" to subjects with a 70mm zoom without being in their personal space. It's go-to lens for wedding ceremonies & receptions! 10/10 recommend.

Highly recommend this lens! Goes with me on all of my trips and photoshoots. Perfect if you need an all in one lens for portrait photography and landscape!

I recently upgraded my 24-105L, and man what a difference! This thing is built like a tank and so far as I can tell, the image quality is fantastic. I primarily shoot weddings, events, etc so this to me was the only logical upgrade to my previous 24-105. I am not thrilled with dropping 2K on a lens that doesn't have IS, but am willing to trade that for the significant step up in image quality.

The MK II version is amazingly sharp and fast, a fantastic addition to anyone's kit
