It takes gorgeous close up portraits, as well as stunning landscapes. A little shout out to Vagon at the Oakland, CA store: he was so knowledgeable about lenses and helped me choose the correct one for my needs. I wouldn't go anywhere but Best Buy for my electronic needs (and wants ;))

Great Lens Great Value

I have the canon 1.2 mm and let me tell you although the image quality is not exactly the same the fact that this lens is smaller and lighter give it a Big advantage when traveling. I strongly recommend this lens to add to your kit. You won't be disappointed.
