I use this when shooting a lot of my graduation portraits or people portraits and it is great. And it does a phenomenal job focusing on subject.

I bought this as an upgrade to the 50mm 1.8. This lens is significantly faster and just a bit heavier than the 1.8. It is my favorite lens in my kit.

This is a great all purpose lens but really shines when taking portraits. My wife and I used it recently to take head shots for our new business.

Gives pictures a great "moment in time" feel with the depth of field adjusted via f-stop. Crisp, clean and natural look to well taken photos eliminating the need to touch up in post.

This is the perfect lens for say a wedding or a likewise event. Great detail.

Definitely supersedes my expectations. I’m an outdoor shooter and the f-stop allows me to still get great shots in low lighting I.e sun going down.

Exellenct product, I have come to realise that 90% of the time it's worth it to shell out and get the actual lens made by the company instead of buying Tamron or Sigma

its a good alternative for an inexpensive fast lens. Build quality is "ok". other similar lenses worth looking at is the 50mm 1.2 and the sigma 50mm 1.4 "Art Lens"

Love this lens!! Great for portraits. I use this all the time! But if you're a begginer I'd suggest the Canon 50mm f/1.8 much cheaper. They're ALMOST the same

This lens stay on my camera most of the time. I use it professionally as well as when photographing my own family in everyday events.

THIS LENS IS AWESOME ON MY CANON. IT DOES EVERYTHING I NEED IN ALL LIGHT CONDITIONS. IT ALSO WORKS PRETTY WELL FOR SHOOTING VIDEO.

I purchased this lens for a primary lens. It's great for portrait work close up and with the fast aperture speed the images are more then I expected.

I love this lens. It's a must have for any photographer. It has a learning curve to.it but worth it in the end.
