This lens gives you such clear and crisp pictures. The F/1.4 at this price point can't be beat. The bokeh is fantastic. And the USM feature is great when using the autofocus feature in the Canon 70D (and other models that have the dual pixel focusing technology).

I upgraded from the 50 mm 1.8, to this lens. The difference is pretty outstanding! I debated for so long, because of the huge price difference, but when the opportunity came, I jumped on it, and am so happy I did! This is my go to lens, and is what is on my camera about 90% of the time. The quality is amazing. I plan to purchase other Canon lenses, but this will be one that always remains in my collection.

Durable nice lens. This lens does not have a cheap feel to it. It has quick focus. I use this with a 6d and t4i.

This is as expected, it creates a nice blurry background but sometimes not the picture is out of focus if your hands are shaky. I'm not a professional photographer, based on my trials and experiences so far with my Canon Rebel 6Ti camera, using this lens with a manual setting can give a better wanted picture.

I owned this lens before, but after years of use, it became a little unreliable. Lens would need removed and replaced frequently. The new lens works flawlessly every time.
