New to photography and this lens is amazing!! I've taken, in my opinion, some pretty darn good pics with this lens! If you don't have one and are on the fence about it, do it, you wont regret it.

Sooo good for headshots. Expect to be angled in awkward positions to get the right distance at times as you can't control the zoom and it gets pretty close up - that's just how 50mm's are. But it's worth, my photos look so professional.

This lens is magnificent. It captures amazing quality images and I know this will be the main lens that stays on my camera.

Everybody should buy this lens! It shoots great and is cheap too.

To be quite honest I haven't been using this or my new camera because of lack of time. However, the small amount I've used it-it has done the job. You won't be able to zoom in etc., but it will take those nice up close photos and give you some blur. You just won't be able to manipulate it very much. I had a NIKON D80 for a very long time with this type of lens and my camera was stolen. This is equivalent to it. I'm not a camera expert, but I would recommend this lens.

The lens is absolutely PERFECT for portraits & lets in a ton of let to catch the fine details. I highly recommend it to all of my friends (beginner through advanced) for the pure versatility of it. No matter what your skill level, this is a MUST in your arsenal.

As a beginner photographer, I was told to get a prime lens because it would help with image composition. And I couldn’t be happier with that advice. I love the images I’ve captured with this lens in the few weeks I’ve had it. The price was fantastic, too. I thought it was going to be so much more expensive than it was.

I went to best buy for 2 or 3 times, finally I decided to take this lens, honestly I am satisfied is very good for low light situation. Also is very good one of the best lenses for video, I attached to my Canon EOS 70d and the results recording is wonderful. Yes I recommend this product is worthy
