Great compact lens that has really nice sharpness and going to f/1.8 is great for selective focus images and portraits in low light.

If you're just starting off with taking pictures you must get this lens can't beat the price for the quality of pictures you get from it

This purchase was for a friend. She's had it for about a month and absolutely adores it. She used it for my graduation pictures and they turned out perfectly requiring minimum edits.

A pro quality lens that makes for clean and crisp photos. Very large aperature makes for some very versatile shooting. F-stop of 1.8 is great and totally worth it for Portraiture.

This is the best lens ever! Its very easy to use and the auto focus is quiet and not loud like the older version. Great lens if you're barely getting into photography/videography.

This is a great affordable prime lens. The 50mm length is used often in portraits and the price point of the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM is reasonable for the shallow depth of focus it provides.

This was my first lens purchase to have something other than my kit lenses. I have been very happy with it and have really appreciated the bigger aperture capabilities.

Its a great Canon lens specially for a prime lens to buy for the first time! Cant go wrong to have a 50mm on your bag!
