Amazing lens that gives sharp images and great bokeh!

This is my new favorite lens. It's pretty fast and works well in low light conditions.

It is a good starter lens for portraits i habe been using it for a while before for i spend a few thousand on a good lens

I tried the Yongnuo 50mm and it was okay for a few years, but once the kids got older and started moving faster the autofocus just couldn’t keep up. The Canon version does everything better and doesn’t break the bank. I got mine from Best Buy because I had some gift cards.

This lens is really great. If you are not sure about spending for it - just do it! You won't regret it. I'm new to photography and this lens allows me to take incredible macro pictures. Make sure you adhere to the minimum distance from your objects, or it won't focus - I use this on a Canon Rebel T6. It is my go-to lens of choice for up-close and also portrait photography from here on out!

This is a great, inexpensive lens for portraiture, close-ups, and more creative photography. It's not for the photographer who has a minimal understanding of photography basics, or wants to keep their camera set on Auto all the time. It allows for exploration and wide-open shooting.
