I bought this lens to use as an indoor/small general lens. The kit lens is massive, and it is nice to make the camera smaller when not needing the 24-105 wide angle or zoom. The lens itself functions well. It focuses slower than the kit, but no real issue with that. Nice and light and crisp photos. Can't go wrong at this price.

I recently purchased the Canon EF50mm F1.8 STM Standard Prime Lens for my EOS DSLR camera, and I must say, I am extremely pleased with this product. Often referred to as the "nifty fifty," this lens truly lives up to its reputation as an essential piece of gear for any Canon DSLR owner, especially given its incredibly affordable price point.

They call this lens the nifty50 and yes it is! I was using an 18 -135 before and it was great. However, it was lengthy and cumbersome. I bought this lens for the depth of field but didn't realize I would end up using it as my primary lens. Its great for on the go carry and with it installed I can toss my Canon 80D in the glove box with ease. Photos are amazing, its pretty inexpensive and as the other reviews say, should be apart of your collection. I'm a pretty cheap person, and I'd have to say its worth it.

In the process of working on my YouTube channel, I tried using my T5 camera, but I realized it wasn’t the best option for video recording. Eventually, I purchased my R10 camera, but I didn’t want to buy a new lens since I already owned an 18-35mm and a 50mm lens. So, I decided to purchase an adapter, which was a great value because it allowed me to easily switch between my two cameras.

It is the best choice in my life in electronics. Images are super clear. It focuses distance is very narrow and could blur the background very well. It is also perfect for head shots. Regarding the price, I can say it is a professional lens for a beginner price! If you are a beginner and you want to start imaging with a professional lens, this one is the best one to start.

You can’t go wrong with the nifty 50. Great lens for the price. Great colors, nice and sharp. If you’re starting out and looking for a nice lens that isn’t super expensive, this is your lens. 50mm is a good focal length, too. One thing that takes a little getting used to is the focus-by-wire when you’re using manual focus, but after a little while it’s no big deal. Cheap way to upgrade the quality of your photos!

Great for portraits. Sharp lense! Great for blurry backgrounds!

I'm a professional photographer and I can highly recommend this lens no matter what your skill level. It's not going to perform as well as the 1.2, but for the cost difference the results have definite value. The lens is much lighter and easier to carry around than the 1.2. The new STM motor is a bit faster and quieter than previous models.

A great, well built prime lens at an excellent price. Perfect for beginners and a must have for all photographers to have in their bag. Get some great shots. Seems pretty quiet and has a surprisingly fast focusing speed. Quality over price can’t be beat with this purchase. Highly... highly recommend.
