This lens is just what I needed and was glad to get it. Small in size but enable you to take great pic. Easy to use and understand.

Great lense for the price...started shooting using manual settings and this lense was just what I needed to get the quality images I was looking for

So I was taking pictures with the kit lenses that came with the camera. I noticed that I was not getting the sharp images that I wanted. I bought this lens and it changed my photography skills. I’m still a beginner but getting better shots with this lens.

The Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Standard Lens is a good lens for closer up pictures. It's good for beginners, especially who want to try different things.

Awesome lens. Works perfectly well on my Canon APSC Camera. The only issue I am facing is, this lens is made for Full frame sensor and when I use it on my APSC sensor, this lens turns into a 80mm lens.

I love this lens!!!! I love the sharpness it gives the subject as well as blurring the background to give more of a depth. I'm very happy with my purchase!

Nice lens ,wanted a fast fixed focal length lens. To carry for a variety of subjects when telephoto length isn't needed.

My son has really gotten into photography and requested the purchase of this lens. He really loves how it makes your subject stand out against more of a "blurry" background due to the fixed focal length. I've used it myself a few times and it does a great job for what it's intended to do.

Can’t beat this for the price. Fast and wide. 50mm is essentially what a human sees

If you only have the kit lenses that came with your camera you need to get one of these. Good results for day and astrophotograpy.

Yes this is a much needed and wanted improvement over the older model. I take video where I need my lense to be on auto focus and when I replay the footage you can barely hear the lense shift. It's amazing and I'm glad I purchased this as a replacement to my other much noiser 50mm

The lens is great and gives you more artistic avenues to express oneself!

Anyone buying this is probably getting one of their first lenses with a consumer dslr. Congratulations on moving away from the kit lens! This lens works exactly as described and is cheap enough to get you a versatile lens that will allow you to learn a lot about photography.

got my son the eos rp and this lens focus is quick and it’s lightweight... not to count the price is perfect
