Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the EF50mm F1.8 STM Standard Prime Lens for EOS DSLR Cameras, especially regarding its lens quality, ease of use, and overall performance. Many appreciate the background blur and depth of field it provides, as well as its lightweight design. This little lens is amazing and very fun to use. I was told however when buying it could zoom in and out and that is not the case it's a fixed lens.

My wife wanted to buy her first 50mm lens and was looking at one that was in the $400 range, but I talked her in to trying this one first. For the price, the performance is excellent with her Canon SL1. Only downside is that Best Buy does not carry 49mm UV filters in stores. No problem if you buy online, as they offer a good selection of them.

Love this lens, keep in mind it is a portrait lens so you have to stand a few feet back from your subject if you want to photograph anything else

Got this lens to have a closer field of view and for that it does perfectly, however due to that, you really need to position your self in the shot you want to take as you can't zoom in or out with it like with the base lens. Still, I have no complaints, it sure helps keep the DSLR lighter and more portable too!

Love my nifty fifty but it’s a bit too pricey. At 125 zi can get a different brand for half the price.
