Great lens for those beautiful portrait shots. I’ve taken pro quality photos of birthday parties and nature. This is a must have lens for your photography arsenal.

This is a lens that everyone needs in their camera bag, beginner or not. I've had both the stm and the non stm version, and this one (stm) improves on the original. The autofocus seems to be a bit snappier and the image quality seems slightly better. It looks great on a 6D. You can't go wrong with a 50mm on a cropped or full frame sensor.

Purchased this for my Canon Rebel T5i to get a shallow depth of field. It produces fantastic images.

They don’t call the 50mm lens the “nifty-fifty” for nothing. This lens is a must have for anyone looking to get into portrait photography. It’s one of the most useful prime lenses I’ve ever purchased. On top of this, it’s very hard to rival the quality of a canon lens! They look and feel immaculate, I’d highly recommend this lens!

This us a light, plastic lens which feels low-brow but is actually very useful and shoots very nice shots. It's excellent for portraits, as it's easy to blur the background. It's not that much different than the much more expensive F1.4 version. Well worth the money.
