Great for both beginners and experts and perfect price point. I really wish I just bought my camera without all the kit lenses and just bought this lens. Seriously..

Awesome lens, great quality and affordable. I would suggest getting a 49mm polarizer with the lens which is also affordable.

Great lens. Absolutely amazing for pictures . Video is good. When shooting in video on Af mode, it does make a small noise when shifting focus sometimes not all the time ! . Overall tho 95/100

I needed a basic everyday lens as my previous one that had zoom was stolen. I have a new grandchild and wanted to take pictures often as they grow up so fast. This lens has filled the bill. I'm not a novice but don't know much about the fancy stuff. I am very pleased with the lens.
