Love this lens. Great value!! I do natural light photography with no flash, and it takes clear, crisp, bright pictures. Highly recommended!

Perfect for portrait photography. So far so good. I would suggest a back up lens for capturing further distances.

I have not had a chance to try this lens out yet, I'm confident it will be at least a 4 if not a 5 if it works out as good as all the other reviews I read on it before purchasing it. I love taking very detailed close-up pictures of my flowers during the spring, summer and fall, so time will tell,.........

Bought this to replace the lens that broke for my wife. She loves this lens to take pictures of our boys.

This lens didn't have the magic effect on my photography that I had hoped for--ha ha! It is a little tricky to get used to focusing with the wide aperture lens. On the other hand, you are able to get a nice effect with the blurred background for portraits and close-ups. The lens works fine with my Canon EOS 60D.

This has been a great purchase to add to our camera. The lense was purchased for a wedding and was just what we needed.

This is a full-frame (EF vs EF-S) lens that will work on Canon DSLRs or mirrorless with an adapter. It's relatively inexpensive, has a bright aperture of f1.8 so it's good in low light and the 50mm focal length is good for general photography and portraiture.

I would suggest to buy this new lens. It has metal frame body now and has 7 blades inside to get bokeh effect!

This was an early Christmas for my son's fiance. She ha used it several times and really likes the quality of the pictures which it creates. She has mentioned this to me several times since Thanksgiving (when she received it).

This lens isn’t expensive like other EF Lens but the work you can produce with it is impeccable!
