great lens for the price! sharp, light weight. great for low light.

This new version of the 50mm Canon lens is faster and more quiet than the previous. It's a must have for any photographer, and at this price it's hard not to want it

I like to take good quality photos with minimal knowledge and talent. I thought this lens would give me better quality photos in low light settings. I was not used to having to move around to get the right distance from my subject. This caused me to have slightly blurry photos. I went back to the zoom lens since it's simpler and fits my needs. I'm going to recommend this lens for those with more knowledge of photography than me.

This lens was bought to replace the previous model of the same lens. One of the keys upgrades is the improvement to the auto focus which could be a major problem with the previous version. This lens is a good introduction into prime lenses at wonderful price.

I have used this 50 mm in the past on different rigs and I can honestly say it is something all photographers should have in their collection. There is no zoom feature, but the f-stop drops to 1.8 which is an excellent choice for low light situations!

I love the lens itself, but mine sometimes gets stuck during automatic focus. Other than that it's an amazing lens! Adds a lot of detail

They don’t call this lens the nifty fifty for no reason once you shoot with this lens you will never take it off or Atleast always keep it in your grab and go camera bag my favorite budget lens!!

I bought this lens to replace an older lens so far it is doing its job, and Canon it is always a good brand in my eyes.

This lense is great for taking portraits with the shallo depth of field. A little two zoomed for cropped sensors.
