This lens is great to use for portraiture photography. I have used it on several weddings and senior pictures and I could not be more in love! Awesome settings on SOOC

The 24-105 is a great one carry lens. But, I think we forget how versatile the simple 50mm is. Light, bright, and sharp as heck. Great for video shooting. I’ll be using it a lot more.

Simple lens. Works for what I need. Price was at a good value for the type of lens.

This lens is ok to get you by if you can't afford the 1.4 but I ended up returning it after using once. If you've used the 1.4 version you won't be able to step back to this but if you're in a pinch and need a decent, lightweight cheap lens this one works just fine.

I've created some beautiful portraits and close range event shots with this lens.

It’s a solid lens and has STM feature have a quieter autofocus system making them more ideal for video shooters. Meanwhile, USM feature are much faster at finding focus but are slightly noisier.

This is by far, my favorite portrait lens. It lives in my camera most of the time. And it’s rare that I use a different Lens. Clarity is amazing.

If you don't have the money to dish out for the f/1.4 this is a good alternative.

This is a definite go to lens! It should be in every photographers gear. Clarity and manageability are a plus! The price is great for this all around terrific addition to your Canon body.
