    For this price, this is the best lens you can get for any Canon DSLR. Excellent glass quality, and the upgraded focus is a huge improvement from the old version. Definitely a must have lens!

    It’s a solid lens and has STM feature have a quieter autofocus system making them more ideal for video shooters. Meanwhile, USM feature are much faster at finding focus but are slightly noisier.

    I gotta tell you that pictures are amazing in close ups. It does give depth effect as well. I would recommend to buy this if you are looking for something in this price range

    I really wanted a 50mm (nifty fifty) and I decided to go for the 1.8 because it's about $1,000 "cheaper" then what I originally wanted [50mm 1.4].. and it hasn't let me down, i LOVE IT.
