    I absolutely love the artistic look that this lens gives my photos. The only problem I have is that you cannot zoom in or out while using this lens. So when you are taking portraits you have to physically back up instead of just zooming out.

    NIfty 50. It's very middle of the road lens. If it's all you can afford or need a 50 now, go for it, but would save for better if you can.
