If you're into photography then this is a lens that EVERYONE needs you can never go wrong with a 50MM lens from cannon. The best looking picture you can possibly have for portraits and taking close capturing pictures of people and things and giving it the best looking color and sharpness! GO ahead and buy it and tell me im lying

You can’t have a complete photo kit without this lens. The F1.8 is fast and sharp for being a value lens. It’s a plastic body and not metal like the 1.4 or 1.2 but you’re not going to need a loan to buy it like the others. They don’t call it the nifty 50 for nothing.

Very pleased with this lense. It is very affordable and takes great pictures. I use it to take action shots and the I mages are crisp and bright, even when the sun starts going down!

I was looking for an affordable new lens for my Canon 70D to take higher quality portraits and after reviewing a wide variety of photography forums and Best Buy/Amazon reviews I purchased the EF 50mm. I am definitely more of a dedicated hobbyist than a pro shooter, but I've been thrilled with the performance of this lens so far and impressed with the photo quality and functionality overall! Recommend!

This is a huge upgrade from the previous nifty-fifty! The STM motor is fantastic for cameras with dual pixel AF (Canon 80D, 6DMarkii, etc.). All though this is not a macro lens, it is remarkably close and that’s why it’s always in my bag for shooting weddings. I get great macro-like shots with this lens for an unbeatbable price. Best of all it’s light, fast, sharp and cheap!

I was looking to expand on my photography, and had learned in a class that this is the best "starter" lens! I'm absolutely in love with the photos this lens allows me to capture, but if you are looking at lenses, keep in mind that this lens does not have the option to zoom in and out. Very happy with this purchase!!

Great lens! This is my first 50 mm lens and I absolutely love it! It takes beautiful pictures! I love the quality of Canon lenses overall. They really beef up my 850D.

We have the Canon EOS R and this worked perfect with the control ring adapter. Easy to handle and solid performer for the shots taken. Price was extremely reasonable.

This lens was highly recommended by others as an entry-level lens to play around with and I am very happy I decided to get it. I am using it on a Canon 60D and the quality of the images are significantly different from the kit lens that came with the camera. It is a fixed lens, so that took some getting used to, but overall, the lens is amazing and a great deal at its low price.

Very good lens, especially for those on a budget. Large aperiture allows for solid low light performance and lots of great bokeh.
