    Need a good, cheap little lens to get your kit started? Well this is it. Its pretty sharp wide open (f/1.8) and is quieter than its predecessor. Don't waste your money on more expensive zoom lenses that are slower and less sharp. I've been pleased overall with it, and should hold over most buyers until they can afford faster/better L glass.
